What business opportunities do the United Arab Emirates offer?
Business opportunities arise particularly from the UAE’s economic diversification strategy. Significant potential exists in sectors such as logistics, healthcare, tourism, financial services, renewable energy, energy efficiency and high-technology industries.
The expansion of healthcare infrastructure and the UAE’s positioning as a regional hub for medical services are creating additional opportunities in medical technology and the healthcare sector. In the field of food security, growing demand exists for innovative agricultural technologies, water-efficient cultivation methods and vertical farming solutions. The UAE imports approximately 90 percent of its food requirements.
The United Arab Emirates is also increasingly developing into a regional hub for international business activities throughout the Middle East.
The European Union is currently negotiating a free trade agreement with the UAE.

The United Arab Emirates is among Bavaria’s most important economic partners in the Middle East and serves as a significant export market for Bavarian companies in the region. Bavarian businesses primarily export machinery, vehicles, industrial equipment and high-quality technology products to the UAE.
