The strong economic interdependence is evident in bilateral trade as well as in reciprocal investments and corporate establishments.
Around 200 Swiss companies have established subsidiaries or production facilities in Bavaria. Conversely, approximately 4,700 Bavarian companies are active in Switzerland, more than 400 maintain local branches and almost 50 operate production sites.

One example of this is the partnership between the Bavarian Academic Center for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe (BAYHOST) and ETH Zurich.
