Dr. Karl Arthur Lange

Dr. Karl Arthur Lange was born in Munich on February 25, 1881. After completing secondary school and serving in the military, he studied law and economics. Following his justice and administrative service exam, he occupied a temporary position in the regional government of Upper Bavaria. From 1909 to 1914 he worked as a lawyer and legal advisor for the brewery associations of Bavaria and Munich. Dr. Lange then served in the military for four years during World War I. In 1918, he joined the Löwenbräu Munich board of directors, which he chaired from 1941 onward. Dr. Karl Arthur Lange was Bavaria’s first post-WWII State Minister for Economic Affairs. He was a member of the CSU. He passed away in 1947.
